Introduction
The former Shimazu ducal palace was completed in 1915 and designed by British architect Josiah Kondor, who also designed the Rokumeikan and Holy Ressurection Cathedral. It is a valuable western-style building from the early Taisho period, and is currently the main building of Seisen University.
