Omori Kaizuka Shell Mounds

Introduction
The shell mounds were discovered by Edward S. Morse in 1877. Today, it is maintained as the "Omori shell mound ruins garden" in commemoration the origin of archaeology in Japan. It is a nationally designated historic site.
