Cultural Property Description

One of the shopping districts in Ebara created as a result of the sudden increase in population around the Great Kanto Earthquake. It grew to be one of the most popular shopping streets during the Showa period. During wartime, it overcame the large sacrifices made from advancing into Manchuria, and revived as a shopping district soon after the war. Setting up the roof and other innovative efforts continue to support its growth as a shopping district.
