The park opened in 2013 at the former site of the National Institute of Japanese literature, and has disaster prevention measures.
In addition to the already existing ponds and trees, various flowers of the four seasons were planted here, and the name of the park comes from the fact that the Kyu-Mitsui Bunko (Mitsui Archives) are here.

Cultural Property Description

The Dai-ni Mitsui Bunko Shoko, which is the origin of the name "Bunko no Mori", is the historiography project of Mitsui Bunko established in 1903. The three story, reinforced concrete building created in 1922 has double layered walls, and the pillar for the bookshelves connects the top of the 3rd floor with the ground. The pillar not only supports books, it also supports the roof and the floor. You can see the fire prevention measures made to the windows after the Great Kanto Earthquake.
