デザインセンター.JPG

Complete interior showroom building designed by Italian design master Mario Bellini and completed in 1992. The neat front design with marble has changed the scenery in front of Gotanda Station. The five-story staircase is dynamic and the horse sculpture in front is by Italian artist Minmo Palladino. On the back side of the garden, there are six layers of corridors and terraces lined with pillars, creating a space like an outdoor theater device.

* Mario Bellini: an architect and designer born in Italy in 1935. After graduating from the Technical University of Milan, he also worked on industrial design and furniture design such as Olivetti's typewriter, and has been active in architectural design since the 1980s. He is also known as the chief editor of the architectural magazine "Domus" (1986-1991).
